Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify and analyze emerging technologies, societal shifts, and market disruptions impacting 2026+ landscapes
- Develop and maintain strategic innovation roadmaps aligned with 5-year business objectives
- Lead cross-functional workshops to translate future scenarios into actionable product/service opportunities
- Present executive-level trend briefings and innovation proposals to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Establish metrics to track emerging technology adoption and innovation KPIs
- Collaborate with R&D to prototype future concepts and validate market readiness
- Build and manage an external network of futurists, technologists, and industry thought leaders
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic innovation, futures research, or technology foresight roles
- Proven track record of translating future trends into commercial opportunities
- Expertise in emerging technologies: AI/ML, quantum computing, biotech, or climate tech
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience influencing executive decision-making
- Advanced degree in Strategic Foresight, Technology Management, or related field
- Published thought leadership on future trends or innovation strategy
- Proficiency in futures methodologies (e.g., scenario planning, Delphi technique)
- Experience building innovation ecosystems within large organizations
