Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning and trend analysis for 2026+ technological disruptions across AI, quantum computing, and biotech
- Develop 5-10 year strategic roadmaps aligned with market evolution and competitive landscapes
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops to align stakeholders on future-state innovation priorities
- Produce executive-ready foresight reports and scenario-planning frameworks for board review
- Establish KPIs and metrics to track future-readiness and innovation maturity
- Manage relationships with academic institutions and innovation labs to capture emerging research
- Advise product development teams on future-proofing technologies and architectures
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Technology Forecasting, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in strategic foresight, innovation consulting, or corporate R&D leadership
- Proven track record of translating futuristic concepts into commercialized products/services
- Deep expertise in exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Exceptional scenario planning and systems thinking capabilities
- Strong presentation skills with C-suite experience and board-level communication
- Published thought leadership in futurist publications or industry journals
- Certification in strategic foresight (e.g., WFS, APF) or innovation methodologies
