Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year strategic roadmaps for emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuro interfaces, climate tech)
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping and validating 2026-use-case scenarios
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive threats and opportunities
- Present strategic frameworks to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
- Drive adoption of ethical AI frameworks in next-gen system architectures
- Manage $5M+ innovation portfolio for rapid prototyping and scaling
- Author thought leadership publications for industry conferences
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic planning or R&D leadership within tech sector
- Expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, climate)
- Proven track record of launching future-facing products to market
- Advanced degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature, or equivalent tier
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Portfolio demonstrating 3+ successful future-tech commercializations
