Responsibilities
- Architect and execute 2026 innovation roadmap aligning with long-term business objectives
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, and climate-positive tech
- Manage $15M+ annual R&D budget across 12 multidisciplinary teams
- Establish partnerships with Stanford, Berkeley, and global innovation hubs
- Present quarterly progress to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Drive commercialization of at least 3 breakthrough technologies by 2026
- Mentor junior researchers through our Future Leaders program
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Quantum Physics, or Bioengineering (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years leading R&D in Fortune 500 or unicorn tech environments
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (3+ launches)
- Expertise in agile/scrum methodologies for complex R&D projects
- Published author in Nature/Science or top-tier AI/quantum journals
- Strong background in patent strategy (15+ granted patents preferred)
- Experience securing federal grants (DARPA, NSF) or VC funding
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum simulation frameworks
