Responsibilities
- Design fault-tolerant quantum architectures targeting 2026 commercial deployment milestones
- Develop error-correction protocols for 1000+ qubit systems using surface code implementations
- Create hybrid quantum-classical computing frameworks for enterprise-scale applications
- Lead cross-disciplinary R&D teams in quantum algorithm optimization
- Establish industry partnerships for quantum cloud service integration
- Author technical white papers on quantum supremacy applications
- Secure US Department of Energy grants for quantum infrastructure projects
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years hands-on experience with superconducting qubit systems or ion-trap platforms
- Published research in Nature/Science journals on quantum computing breakthroughs
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or similar quantum programming frameworks
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Experience leading technical teams of 10+ engineers
- Active TS/SCI clearance or ability to obtain one
