Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 strategic foresight framework, analyzing emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, biotech convergence) and societal shifts
- Lead cross-functional workshops to synthesize market intelligence, academic research, and patent analytics into actionable strategic recommendations
- Present visionary scenarios to executive leadership and boards, translating complex futures into compelling narratives and investment priorities
- Establish partnerships with MIT Media Lab, World Economic Forum, and other future-focused institutions to maintain competitive foresight
- Mentor a team of futurist analysts while building proprietary forecasting methodologies using machine learning and scenario planning tools
- Author annual 'State of the Future' reports that position Horizon Dynamics as the definitive voice in emerging technology trends
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, Technology Management, or equivalent experience required; PhD preferred
- Minimum 8 years in strategic planning, innovation management, or technology forecasting with Fortune 500 experience
- Proven track record of successfully implementing long-term strategic initiatives with measurable ROI
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains (e.g., AI ethics, climate tech, neurotech)
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience delivering to C-suite audiences and boards of directors
- Proficiency in foresight methodologies (horizon scanning, Delphi method, causal layered analysis)
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry publications (e.g., Harvard Business Review, MIT Tech Review)
