- Lead cross-functional teams to prototype futuristic solutions with 3-year commercialization plans
- Present trend analysis to executive leadership and board of directors quarterly
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and R&D labs for cutting-edge research
- Author industry white papers on technology evolution and societal impact
- Mentor junior futurists and build an internal foresight methodology
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D leadership, or futurist consulting
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Future Studies
- Proven track record of forecasting market disruptions (3-5 year accuracy)
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/biotech)
- Executive-level presentation skills with 50+ industry conference appearances
- Published research in peer-reviewed tech journals or recognized publications
- Certification in Strategic Foresight or Futures Studies (preferred)
- Experience building innovation labs or corporate R&D divisions
