Responsibilities
- Forecast and map technology evolution paths through 2026+ horizon scanning
- Lead cross-functional workshops on disruptive trend integration (AI, blockchain, neurotech)
- Develop patentable frameworks for human-machine symbiosis systems
- Partner with R&D to prototype next-gen interfaces (AR/VR/neural)
- Present strategic briefings to investors and board members quarterly
- Build and lead a 5-person futurist innovation pod
- Author white papers on ethical AI and quantum governance
Qualifications
- 10+ years in tech strategy with 5+ years in futurism or horizon scanning
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Systems Thinking, or Futures Studies
- Published thought leadership in IEEE or Nature Futures journal
- Expertise in at least two emerging domains: quantum computing, synthetic biology, or decentralized AI
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic concepts
- Proficiency in strategic foresight tools (Delphi, STEEP analysis)
- Experience scaling tech teams from 10 to 100+ members
- Security clearance preferred for defense-adjacent projects
