Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 5-year strategic technology roadmap for 2026+ innovations
- Lead research initiatives in quantum computing, synthetic biology, and AI governance frameworks
- Partner with engineering teams to prototype breakthrough solutions
- Present future technology scenarios to C-suite executives and investors
- Author whitepapers and thought leadership on emerging tech trends
- Manage cross-functional innovation sprints with global R&D teams
- Identify and evaluate emerging startups for potential acquisition or partnership
Qualifications
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record in strategic technology planning and innovation management
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum, AI, biotech, etc.)
- Exceptional presentation skills with executive-level communication experience
- Published research or patents in forward-looking technology domains
- Experience managing R&D budgets exceeding $2M annually
- Fluency in scenario planning methodologies and trend analysis frameworks
- Strong network within Silicon Valley tech innovation ecosystem
