Responsibilities
- Lead Creative Vision: Direct the artistic direction of 2D animation projects, ensuring style consistency and high-quality output across all media.
- Team Management: Mentor, train, and manage a team of 2D animators and motion designers to foster professional growth and efficiency.
- Project Oversight: Oversee project timelines, budgets, and workflow processes to ensure deliverables meet client expectations and deadlines.
- Asset Creation: Create high-quality storyboard sketches, animatics, and keyframes to serve as blueprints for the animation team.
- Creative Collaboration: Work closely with directors, art directors, and clients to understand project requirements and refine concepts.
- Review & Feedback: Conduct regular reviews of animation work, providing constructive feedback to enhance visual storytelling and technical execution.
- Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of the latest 2D animation trends, software advancements, and industry standards to keep Apex Creative Studios at the cutting edge.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of professional experience in 2D animation, motion graphics, or related fields.
- Leadership: Proven experience leading creative teams and managing project workflows in a fast-paced agency or studio environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard software including Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator. Experience with Toon Boom Harmony or similar tools is a plus.
- Portfolio: A strong, diverse portfolio showcasing a range of 2D animation styles, character design, and motion graphics.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate creative concepts to non-creative stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements while maintaining quality standards.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Animation, Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or a related field.
