Responsibilities
- Develop Ethical Frameworks: Design and maintain comprehensive AI ethics guidelines and governance models aligned with 2026 industry standards.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct regular audits and risk assessments on proprietary machine learning models to identify algorithmic bias and fairness issues.
- Policy Implementation: Translate complex legal and ethical requirements into actionable technical specifications for our engineering teams.
- Compliance Monitoring: Stay abreast of evolving global regulations (e.g., EU AI Act, US Algorithmic Accountability Act) and ensure Nexus Horizon remains compliant.
- Stakeholder Education: Train and educate product managers, developers, and data scientists on AI governance best practices and ethical decision-making.
- Incident Response: Lead the investigation and remediation process for AI-related ethical incidents or model failures.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in AI/ML, Data Science, Law, or a related field with a focus on technology governance.
- Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of machine learning concepts, neural networks, and data pipeline architectures.
- Regulatory Awareness: Strong knowledge of data privacy laws (GDPR, CCPA) and current/future AI regulatory landscapes.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem Solving: Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and develop solutions for ethical dilemmas in fast-paced environments.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Law, Philosophy, or a related discipline; Master’s degree is a plus.
