Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe them into written documents with high accuracy and speed.
- Format transcripts according to client-specific guidelines and company standards.
- Proofread and edit transcribed documents to ensure grammar, spelling, and punctuation are correct.
- Communicate with clients or supervisors to clarify ambiguous information or specific formatting requests.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive information and medical/legal records.
- Utilize transcription software and equipment efficiently to meet daily production targets.
- Manage file organization and archiving to ensure easy retrieval of records.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or certification in medical/legal transcription preferred.
- Proven experience in transcription, medical records, or administrative support (1-3 years minimum).
- Excellent command of the English language, including grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Typing speed of at least 60 WPM with high accuracy (95%+).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and specialized transcription software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Reliable internet connection and a dedicated workspace are required for this role.
