Responsibilities
- Accurately transcribe a variety of audio recordings, including medical and legal dictations, into written text using provided high-fidelity equipment.
- Proofread and edit transcribed documents to ensure 99% accuracy and adherence to client formatting guidelines.
- Utilize the specific transcription software and hardware provided by the company to maximize workflow efficiency.
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding sensitive client information and data.
- Meet daily and weekly productivity targets within the designated timeframe.
- Communicate effectively with the quality assurance team to resolve complex terminology or audio quality issues.
- Stay updated on industry standards and transcription best practices.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of professional transcription experience in a medical or legal setting.
- Proven typing speed of 60+ WPM with exceptional grammar and spelling proficiency.
- Ability to pass a typing accuracy test and a knowledge assessment.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated workspace (we may provide equipment to support this).
- Experience with industry-standard transcription platforms (e.g., Dragon NaturallySpeaking, Express Scribe).
- Attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in English language, with a strong command of vocabulary and context.
