Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate real-time chat platforms (Discord, Slack, Twitch) to enforce community guidelines
- Identify and resolve conflicts, harassment, or policy violations with swift professionalism
- Document moderation actions and escalate complex issues to senior team members
- Collaborate with content teams to develop moderation protocols and training materials
- Analyze chat trends to provide insights for community growth strategies
- Maintain detailed incident reports and moderation analytics
- Support 24/7 rotation schedule covering evenings and weekends as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year experience in community moderation or customer support
- Exceptional written communication and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency with moderation tools (Discord, Nightbot, Modbot) and ticketing systems
- Ability to remain composed under pressure and de-escalate tense situations
- Familiarity with digital safety protocols (GDPR, COPPA) and content policies
- High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's degree preferred
- Reliable high-speed internet and dedicated home workspace
