Responsibilities
- Transcribe diverse audio recordings (medical, legal, corporate) with 99%+ accuracy
- Adhere to strict formatting guidelines and style requirements for each client
- Meet daily/weekly productivity targets while maintaining quality standards
- Proofread and edit transcripts for grammar, punctuation, and factual errors
- Maintain strict confidentiality of all sensitive materials
- Utilize advanced transcription software and audio enhancement tools
- Collaborate with quality assurance team to resolve discrepancies
- Stay updated on industry terminology and documentation standards
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- 75+ WPM typing speed with exceptional accuracy
- Proficiency in ExpressScribe, Dragon, or equivalent software
- Strong command of English grammar, punctuation, and style
- Familiarity with medical/legal terminology preferred
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines with competing priorities
- High-speed internet access and quiet home office setup
- Associate's degree or relevant certification required
