Responsibilities
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (AI, quantum, biotech) with 2026 commercialization potential
- Develop 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption forecasts
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints to prototype and validate next-gen solutions
- Establish strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Present innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and investment committees
- Manage $2M+ R&D budgets for experimental technology initiatives
- Mentor junior researchers in future-focused methodologies
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Innovation Management (PhD preferred)
- 10+ years in tech strategy or R&D leadership with proven commercialization success
- Expertise in at least three emerging tech domains (AI/ML, quantum computing, AR/VR)
- Track record of launching 3+ market-disrupting products/services
- Experience securing government grants and venture capital for experimental projects
- Strong data modeling skills for trend forecasting and scenario planning
- Published thought leadership in tech innovation journals
