Responsibilities
- Architect and execute the 2026 technology innovation roadmap, identifying breakthrough opportunities in AI, quantum computing, and biotech convergence
- Lead cross-functional teams of engineers, designers, and data scientists to prototype and validate future-facing solutions
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify emerging technologies with 3-5 year commercialization potential
- Develop strategic partnerships with academic institutions, startups, and Fortune 500 companies
- Present technology foresight insights to executive leadership and investors, securing buy-in for innovation initiatives
- Establish KPIs and metrics for measuring innovation pipeline success and ROI
- Mentor junior strategists and cultivate a culture of experimentation within the organization
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, product innovation, or venture capital with focus on emerging tech
- Proven track record of launching or scaling at least two breakthrough technologies
- Expertise in at least three of these domains: AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, AR/VR, or blockchain
- MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Exceptional analytical skills with ability to translate complex technical concepts into business strategy
- Deep network within Silicon Valley and Austin tech ecosystems
- Published thought leadership in technology innovation or venture capital
- Experience securing $10M+ in innovation funding or strategic partnerships
