Responsibilities
- Develop and execute the 2026 technology strategy roadmap aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Lead research initiatives in emerging fields: quantum computing, AGI alignment, and synthetic biology
- Identify and evaluate disruptive technologies through patent analysis, academic partnerships, and startup scouting
- Present strategic insights to C-suite executives and Board of Directors with data-driven recommendations
- Manage a $5M innovation budget and oversee vendor relationships for prototyping and testing
- Mentor cross-functional teams in adopting future-proof methodologies and tools
- Publish thought leadership in industry journals and represent the company at global tech summits
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (AI, quantum, or biotech)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or related field
- Expertise in scenario planning, technology forecasting, and market analysis frameworks
- Strong network within Silicon Valley research institutions and tech ecosystems
- Experience managing multi-million dollar R&D budgets and cross-functional teams
- Published author or speaker at top-tier tech conferences (TED, Web Summit, etc.)
- Proficiency in strategic planning tools and data visualization platforms
