As a key member of our R&D leadership team, you'll collaborate with C-suite executives, research scientists, and product architects to develop 5-year roadmaps that anticipate market shifts and regulatory landscapes. You'll champion initiatives that align technological capabilities with sustainability goals while maintaining competitive advantage in a rapidly evolving digital ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement long-term technology roadmaps targeting 2026 market readiness
- Lead cross-functional teams in evaluating emerging technologies (quantum, AGI, biotech convergence)
- Conduct competitive analysis and scenario planning for tech disruption
- Establish governance frameworks for ethical AI development and deployment
- Secure $5M+ annual R&D budget allocation for strategic initiatives
- Present technology strategy to investors and board of directors
- Partner with academic institutions to shape future research priorities
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in executive leadership
- Proven track record in scaling tech organizations through paradigm shifts
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging tech domains (quantum/AI/blockchain)
- MBA or advanced degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Economics
- Published thought leadership in peer-reviewed journals or industry forums
- Experience securing federal/state innovation grants and subsidies
- Fluency in scenario modeling tools (e.g., System Dynamics, Monte Carlo)
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
