Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 3-5 year strategic technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market predictions
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, neuromorphic AI, synthetic biology) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives bridging academia and industry innovation
- Conduct horizon scanning and competitive analysis in rapidly evolving tech domains
- Design ethical frameworks for responsible technology deployment
- Present strategic insights to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Build partnerships with leading research institutions and tech pioneers
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Technology Strategy, Futures Studies, or related field (PhD preferred)
- 8+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum systems, advanced AI, biotech, or space tech
- Exceptional analytical and scenario planning capabilities
- Experience with futures forecasting methodologies (Delphi, horizon scanning)
- Strong network in Silicon Valley's innovation ecosystem
- Published thought leadership in tech futurism
