Responsibilities
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum, AR/VR, synthetic biology) for commercial viability by 2026
- Develop strategic technology roadmaps aligned with market disruption timelines
- Lead cross-functional workshops with R&D, product, and venture teams
- Present technology foresight briefings to C-suite and board stakeholders
- Monitor global tech policy shifts and patent landscapes
- Build partnerships with academic research labs and startups
- Author annual 'State of Future Tech' industry reports
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 7+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership
- Portfolio demonstrating successful tech commercialization
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI, quantum, biotech)
- Certification in Futures Studies or Technology Foresight
- Experience with scenario planning and horizon scanning methodologies
- Exceptional storytelling skills for technical audiences
- Published thought leadership in tech journals
