Responsibilities
- Develop and execute 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with market trends and business objectives
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies (quantum computing, synthetic biology, neuromorphic AI) for commercial viability
- Lead cross-functional innovation sprints with R&D, product, and engineering teams
- Present strategic technology insights to C-suite and external stakeholders
- Manage $5M+ innovation budget and vendor partnerships
- Drive patent strategy and intellectual property development
- Mentor junior innovators and build future technology talent pipeline
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, R&D management, or innovation consulting
- Deep expertise in at least two emerging technology domains
- Proven track record of commercializing futuristic technologies
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Strong analytical skills with ability to assess complex technical landscapes
- Experience managing innovation budgets >$3M
- Certification in technology foresight or innovation management preferred
