Responsibilities
- Develop 3-5 year technology roadmaps for quantum computing, biotech convergence, and ambient AI systems
- Lead cross-functional R&D initiatives with MIT/Stanford partnerships
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify emerging tech vectors (e.g., synthetic biology, quantum neural networks)
- Translate complex technical concepts into investor-ready narratives and go-to-market strategies
- Manage $10M+ innovation budgets with ROI-focused resource allocation
- Present strategic frameworks to C-suite and board of directors
- Collaborate with UN/WEF tech policy committees on ethical frameworks
Qualifications
- PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Physics, or Biotechnology with 8+ years of applied research
- Proven track record in commercializing emerging technologies (3+ exits/acquisitions)
- Deep expertise in at least two of: quantum algorithms, synthetic biology, neuromorphic computing
- Experience with futures methodologies (Delphi, scenario planning, horizon scanning)
- Strong publication record in Nature/Science/Cell or equivalent
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming frameworks
- US citizenship with ability to obtain security clearance
