Responsibilities
- Lead horizon scanning for emerging technologies (quantum computing, advanced AI, biotech convergence) with 5-year strategic impact assessments
- Develop and maintain the 2026 Technology Innovation Roadmap aligning with corporate vision and market opportunities
- Facilitate cross-functional workshops with engineering, design, and product teams to translate future concepts into actionable plans
- Conduct competitive analysis and scenario planning for disruptive technologies in target markets
- Present strategic recommendations to executive stakeholders with data-driven forecasts and risk mitigation frameworks
- Build and manage a global network of futurists, academic researchers, and industry pioneers
- Author thought leadership content on technology futures for industry publications and conferences
Qualifications
- 10+ years in strategic technology planning, innovation management, or futurist consulting
- Proven track record of anticipating and commercializing emerging technologies
- Expertise in scenario planning, technology forecasting methodologies, and trend analysis
- Advanced degree in Technology Management, Systems Engineering, or related field
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies (AI/ML, quantum, synthetic biology) and their societal implications
- Exceptional presentation skills with experience influencing executive decision-making
- Portfolio of published futurist work or implemented strategic technology initiatives
- Ability to synthesize complex data into compelling narratives for diverse audiences
