Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with 2026 market projections and organizational goals
- Lead horizon scanning initiatives to identify emerging technologies (quantum computing, AI ethics, sustainable tech, etc.) with disruptive potential
- Build and maintain relationships with academic institutions, startups, and industry consortia for early-stage technology adoption
- Present strategic roadmaps and innovation frameworks to C-suite executives and board members
- Manage a $5M+ R&D portfolio with rigorous ROI analysis and risk mitigation protocols
- Mentor cross-functional teams in future-proofing product development cycles
- Author thought leadership publications and represent the company at global tech forums
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy, innovation management, or R&D leadership
- Proven track record of commercializing emerging technologies (patents or launched products)
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business with focus on technology forecasting
- Expertise in at least two future-tech domains: quantum computing, neurotech, climate tech, or decentralized systems
- Strong proficiency in scenario planning, technology adoption lifecycle modeling, and patent landscape analysis
- Exceptional communication skills with experience presenting to executive audiences
- Experience working in regulated industries (healthcare, finance, or energy) preferred
- Certification in technology foresight or innovation management (e.g., from DaVinci Institute or similar) a plus
