Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing 5-year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market projections
- Identify and evaluate emerging technologies with disruptive potential (quantum, biotech, neural interfaces)
- Present strategic recommendations to C-suite executives and board members
- Forge partnerships with academic institutions and government innovation labs
- Conduct competitive analysis and scenario planning for technological disruption
- Oversee R&D investments in future-focused initiatives with $50M+ annual budgets
- Develop ethical frameworks for next-gen AI and autonomous systems
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy, product innovation, or futurism roles
- Proven track record of scaling emerging technologies to commercial viability
- Deep expertise in at least two future-tech domains (quantum computing, synthetic biology, etc.)
- Executive presence with experience presenting to C-level audiences
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- Published thought leadership in technology futurism or peer-reviewed journals
- Experience managing $10M+ innovation budgets
- Certification in strategic foresight or technology assessment preferred
