Responsibilities
- Develop and implement 3-5 year technology roadmaps aligned with 2026 market predictions and regulatory shifts
- Lead R&D initiatives in quantum computing, neural interfaces, and decentralized AI systems
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify disruptive technologies and assess commercial viability
- Collaborate with C-suite executives to integrate technology strategy into corporate vision
- Manage $5M+ innovation budgets across 3-4 concurrent projects
- Present findings to industry panels and publish whitepapers in top-tier journals
- Mentor a 12-person multidisciplinary team of engineers and futurists
Qualifications
- 15+ years in technology strategy with 5+ years in future-tech roles (quantum/AI/blockchain)
- Proven track record launching products with $100M+ revenue impact
- PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Published research in Nature/IEEE journals on emerging tech applications
- Expertise in regulatory frameworks for autonomous systems and ethical AI
- Fluency in Python, TensorFlow, and quantum programming languages
- Experience with government innovation programs (e.g., DARPA, NSF)
- Certified Futurist (CF) designation preferred
