Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a 3-year technology strategy aligned with market trends and company objectives
- Lead cross-functional teams in prototyping next-gen solutions (quantum algorithms, neuro-interfacing, decentralized AI)
- Conduct horizon scanning to identify breakthrough technologies with 2026 commercialization potential
- Build strategic partnerships with academic institutions and tech incubators
- Present technology roadmaps to investors, board members, and key stakeholders
- Drive R&D allocation decisions based on ROI and future viability
- Mentor senior engineers and product managers on emerging technology adoption
Qualifications
- 10+ years in technology strategy or R&D leadership within Fortune 500 or high-growth startups
- Proven track record launching at least 3 market-defining tech products
- Expertise in emerging tech: quantum computing, AGI ethics, or biotech convergence
- Published thought leadership in IEEE, Nature, or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Strategic Innovation
- Experience securing $50M+ in R&D funding or venture capital
- Certification in Technology Foresight or Strategic Innovation Management
- Portfolio demonstrating technology commercialization impact
