Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a 5-10 year strategic foresight framework for emerging technologies (AI, quantum computing, biotech)
- Lead cross-functional scenario planning workshops to identify disruptive market shifts and competitive threats
- Produce executive-level trend reports with actionable recommendations for product development
- Establish partnerships with academic institutions and think tanks to pioneer future-focused research
- Integrate ethical AI governance and sustainability principles into all strategic initiatives
- Mentor innovation teams on future-proofing methodologies and adaptive planning
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Futuristics, Systems Thinking, or related field with 8+ years of strategic planning experience
- Proven track record in translating future trends into commercial opportunities (portfolio required)
- Expertise in horizon scanning, Delphi methodology, and probabilistic forecasting
- Deep understanding of exponential technologies and their societal implications
- Exceptional storytelling abilities to communicate complex futures to C-suite audiences
- Published thought leadership in future studies or innovation strategy (3+ articles)
- Experience in high-growth tech environments with $500M+ revenue scale
