Responsibilities
- Conduct horizon-scanning research to identify and validate emerging technologies, market disruptions, and societal shifts affecting 2026
- Develop scenario-based strategic frameworks for C-suite decision-making, quantifying potential market impacts and opportunities
- Lead cross-functional workshops to embed foresight methodologies across product development and corporate strategy
- Produce annual Future State Reports with actionable recommendations for R&D investment priorities
- Build and maintain an ecosystem of futurists, technologists, and academic partners to accelerate trend detection
- Translate complex foresight insights into compelling narratives for investor communications and internal alignment
- Monitor geopolitical and regulatory developments that could reshape 2026's business environment
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Futures Studies, Strategic Foresight, or related field with 7+ years of strategic planning experience
- Proven track record of successfully anticipating and capitalizing on market shifts (portfolio required)
- Expertise in scenario planning, trend analysis, and horizon scanning methodologies
- Deep knowledge of emerging technologies: AI/ML, quantum computing, synthetic biology, AR/VR
- Exceptional storytelling skills with ability to translate complex concepts for executive audiences
- Experience leading cross-functional innovation initiatives in Fortune 500 or high-growth tech environments
- Published thought leadership in futures or strategy publications
- Proficiency in foresight software (e.g., Foresight Platform, Trend Hunter)
