Responsibilities
- Monitor and moderate real-time chat sessions across multiple platforms (social media, gaming, forums)
- Enforce community guidelines with precision while maintaining positive user experiences
- Identify and address inappropriate content, harassment, and policy violations
- Escalate complex issues to senior moderators and support teams
- Maintain detailed moderation logs and incident reports
- Collaborate with product teams to improve moderation tools and workflows
- Train and mentor new moderators on best practices
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in content moderation, community management, or customer support
- Proven ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism
- Exceptional written communication skills with attention to detail
- Familiarity with major social media platforms and digital community dynamics
- Strong conflict resolution and de-escalation techniques
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Proficient in using moderation tools (e.g., ModSquad, Khoros, or similar platforms)
- High-speed internet connection and dedicated home office setup
