Role Overview
In this role, you will be responsible for converting audio files into accurate, verbatim, or edited text documents. We value precision and require our transcriptionists to adhere to strict industry standards.
Responsibilities
- Listen to audio recordings and transcribe content into digital text with 99% accuracy.
- Format documents according to specific client templates and style guides.
- Proofread and edit transcripts to ensure proper grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Meet daily and weekly production targets within strict deadlines.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA compliance regulations.
- Utilize industry-standard transcription software (e.g., Express Scribe, F9) efficiently.
- Communicate effectively with project managers regarding technical issues or clarification needs.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a transcriptionist (Medical or Legal preferred).
- Exceptional listening skills with the ability to decipher heavy accents or background noise.
- High typing speed (minimum 65 WPM) and proficiency in touch typing.
- Strong command of the English language, including advanced grammar and vocabulary.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a dedicated home office environment.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and transcription-specific tools.
