- Convert audio/video recordings into verbatim text documents with 99%+ accuracy
- Adhere to strict formatting guidelines and client-specific style requirements
- Meet daily productivity targets (50-75 minutes of audio transcribed per hour)
- Research and clarify technical terminology, industry jargon, and proper nouns
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client information per HIPAA guidelines
- Utilize industry-standard transcription software and foot pedal controls
- Perform quality self-reviews before submission to ensure completeness
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proven typing speed of 75+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Familiarity with legal/medical terminology preferred
- Exceptional grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills
- Ability to consistently meet tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
- Proficiency in ExpressScribe, oTranscribe, or similar platforms
- High-speed internet connection and quiet home office setup
- US citizenship or legal work authorization required
