As a key member of our Security Operations Center (SOC), you'll monitor, detect, and respond to cyber threats in real-time. Responsibilities
- Monitor security alerts and investigate potential cyber threats during night shift hours (11 PM - 7 AM EST)
- Analyze network traffic, logs, and endpoint data using SIEM tools (Splunk, QRadar)
- Incident response coordination including containment, eradication, and recovery activities
- Generate detailed security reports and executive summaries for leadership
- Collaborate with global SOC teams during complex threat investigations
- Implement security controls and contribute to threat hunting initiatives
- Stay current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities through continuous learning
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of cybersecurity experience with SOC operations background
- CompTIA Security+ or CISSP certification required
- Proficiency in SIEM platforms and security orchestration tools
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and secure home office setup
