Responsibilities
- Develop & Maintain: Design, code, and test robust software applications and APIs using modern technologies.
- System Monitoring: Proactively monitor system performance, logs, and alerts during night hours to ensure 99.99% uptime.
- Critical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that arise during peak off-peak hours.
- Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices and coding standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the day-shift engineering team to coordinate deployments and releases.
- Security: Implement security protocols and conduct vulnerability assessments to protect sensitive data.
- Documentation: Update technical documentation and runbooks to facilitate knowledge transfer.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of professional software development experience.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Programming: Proficiency in Python, Java, or Node.js with strong knowledge of SQL databases.
- Availability: Must be available to work a consistent night shift schedule (e.g., 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM CT).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with remote teams.
- Tools: Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
- Problem Solving: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and debugging.
