- Identify and escalate inappropriate content, harassment, or policy violations according to escalation protocols
- Maintain detailed moderation logs and activity reports for performance analysis
- Collaborate with the moderation team to develop improved content moderation strategies
- Participate in weekly training sessions to stay updated on platform changes and best practices
- Support seasonal campaigns and special events requiring increased chat coverage
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; college degree in communications or related field preferred
- Minimum 1 year experience in customer service, social media moderation, or community management
- Exceptional written communication skills with native-level English proficiency
- Ability to remain calm and professional when handling sensitive or confrontational situations
- Proficient with web-based chat platforms and moderation tools (e.g., ModSquad, Talkdesk)
- Must be a resident of Virginia Beach, VA with reliable high-speed internet connection
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays (20-30 hours/week)
- Strong attention to detail with ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
