Responsibilities
- Equipment Configuration: Set up, configure, and deploy laptops, tablets, and mobile devices with company-standard software and security protocols.
- Remote Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues remotely via VPN, remote desktop, and phone support.
- Inventory Management: Maintain accurate digital and physical records of equipment status, ensuring all assets are tracked and accounted for.
- Software Deployment: Install, update, and patch operating systems and essential applications for remote users.
- Client Communication: Provide clear, professional technical guidance to internal staff and remote clients via ticketing systems and email.
- Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous testing on all equipment before shipping or deployment to ensure functionality.
Qualifications
- Technical Certification: CompTIA A+ or equivalent IT support certification preferred.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in IT support, help desk, or hardware configuration.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Tools: Proficiency with remote access tools (TeamViewer, AnyDesk), Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Availability: Ability to commit to 15-20 hours per week during business hours (EST/CST overlap).
- Self-Starter: Highly motivated individual capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
