Responsibilities
- Conduct Keyword Research: Perform in-depth keyword research to identify high-value opportunities and competitor strategies specific to the Chicago and national markets.
- On-Page Optimization: Optimize website content, meta tags, headers, and alt text to improve search visibility and user engagement.
- Technical SEO Audits: Identify and report on technical issues affecting site performance, such as site speed, crawlability, and mobile-friendliness.
- Content Strategy: Collaborate with writers and editors to ensure all content is optimized for both search engines and human readers.
- Analytics & Reporting: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) using Google Analytics and Search Console, providing monthly reports on traffic growth and ROI.
- Link Building: Develop and execute outreach campaigns to acquire high-quality backlinks from authoritative industry websites.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years of proven experience in SEO, specifically within a remote or agency environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, and Google Analytics.
- HTML/CSS: Basic understanding of HTML and CSS to make on-page edits and technical optimizations.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
