Responsibilities
- Convert audio/video recordings from legal proceedings, medical consultations, and corporate meetings into verbatim transcripts
- Ensure 99.5% accuracy in transcriptions with proper punctuation, grammar, and formatting
- Utilize proprietary transcription software and AI-assisted editing tools
- Adhere to strict confidentiality protocols for sensitive client information
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously with strict deadline adherence
- Collaborate with editors to resolve discrepancies and maintain quality standards
- Participate in quarterly training on industry terminology and evolving formats
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years professional transcription experience
- Proven typing speed of 80+ WPM with 98% accuracy
- Familiarity with legal/medical terminology (specialized training preferred)
- Proficiency in ExpressScribe, Dragon, or equivalent transcription software
- Exceptional English grammar, punctuation, and proofreading skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Reliable high-speed internet and quiet home office environment
- US citizenship or authorized work permit required
