Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum machine learning algorithms for optimization problems in drug discovery and materials science
- Lead cross-functional teams developing hybrid quantum-classical neural networks
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum computing systems
- Collaborate with NASA and DARPA on quantum AI applications for space exploration
- Publish 3+ high-impact papers annually in Nature/Science journals
- Architect quantum-AI pipelines processing petabyte-scale datasets
- Secure $2M+ annual research grants through NSF and DoD partnerships
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Theoretical Physics, or Machine Learning (postdoc preferred)
- 5+ years experience with quantum algorithms (QAOA, VQE, Grover's variants)
- Expertise in tensor networks and quantum circuit optimization
- Proficiency in quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Publication record in quantum machine learning or quantum information theory
- Experience with high-performance computing architectures (HPC/AI clusters)
- Security clearance eligibility for government research projects
