Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum circuit architectures for enterprise applications
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization problems
- Lead prototyping of quantum-resistant cryptographic protocols
- Collaborate with hardware teams to mitigate decoherence challenges
- Quantify system performance using quantum benchmarking metrics
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Computing symposiums
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum error correction techniques
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 3+ years experience with quantum programming (Qiskit, Cirq, or Q#)
- Published research in quantum error correction or fault tolerance
- Proficiency in high-performance computing (HPC) environments
- Expertise in linear algebra and complex mathematical modeling
- Familiarity with NISQ-era hardware constraints (IBM, Rigetti, IonQ)
- Security clearance for DoD quantum projects preferred
