Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable quantum processor architectures with >1000 qubit coherence
- Develop hybrid quantum-classical algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, software engineers, and materials scientists
- Establish quantum error correction protocols for fault-tolerant systems
- Collaborate with industry partners to define 2026 quantum computing roadmaps
- Secure patents for novel quantum hardware and software innovations
- Mentor junior researchers in quantum information science
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing architecture or quantum algorithm development
- Published research in top-tier quantum computing journals (Nature, Science, etc.)
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant design
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, Q#)
- Experience leading complex technical projects with cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical implementations
