Responsibilities
- Design and implement fault-tolerant quantum processor architectures using superconducting and topological qubit technologies
- Develop quantum error correction protocols for 100+ qubit systems with <0.1% logical error rates
- Create quantum-classical hybrid computing frameworks for real-time industrial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers in quantum algorithm optimization
- Architect quantum communication networks with entanglement distribution protocols
- Secure patents for novel quantum gate designs and measurement techniques
- Present quantum computing roadmaps to C-suite executives and venture partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science with 5+ years quantum architecture experience
- Published research in Nature/Science on quantum error correction or qubit coherence
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Q#, Qiskit, Cirq) and classical HPC environments
- Expertise in cryogenic quantum systems and microwave control electronics
- Track record of scaling quantum systems from 10 to 100+ qubits
- Experience securing $10M+ in quantum computing research grants
- Deep understanding of quantum machine learning algorithms and NISQ-era applications
