Responsibilities
- Design scalable quantum computing architectures leveraging superconducting qubits and topological systems
- Develop error correction protocols to achieve fault-tolerant quantum computation
- Lead cross-functional teams of physicists, engineers, and software developers
- Partner with academic institutions to publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science
- Translate quantum algorithms into practical industry applications for finance, healthcare, and logistics
- Secure patents for novel quantum hardware configurations
- Present roadmaps to C-suite executives and venture capital partners
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years in quantum computing hardware design or quantum algorithm development
- Expertise in quantum error correction codes (surface, color, LDPC)
- Proficiency with Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum SDKs
- Published research in peer-reviewed quantum computing journals
- Experience leading technical teams with 10+ members
- Deep understanding of quantum supremacy benchmarks
- Clearance for US Department of Energy projects
