Responsibilities
- Architect and execute quantum research roadmap aligned with 2026 technological inflection points
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing novel quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation
- Translate quantum research into patentable IP and commercial prototypes
- Collaborate with industry partners to validate quantum solutions for real-world applications
- Secure and manage multimillion-dollar research grants from NSF, DARPA, and private foundations
- Mentor PhD researchers and publish findings in top-tier journals and conferences
- Represent Nexus Future Labs at international quantum technology summits
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or related field with 8+ years industry experience
- Proven track record of publishing in Nature/Science journals or equivalent
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Demonstrated ability to secure $1M+ in government research funding
- Proficiency with quantum programming frameworks (Qiskit, Cirq, PennyLane)
- Experience managing R&D teams with diverse technical backgrounds
- Deep understanding of NISQ-era limitations and fault-tolerant roadmap
