Responsibilities
- Lead quantum algorithm development for cryptography, optimization, and machine learning applications
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to design quantum-compatible software architectures
- Publish research in Nature/IEEE journals and present at global quantum computing conferences
- Manage a team of 5-7 quantum researchers and PhD candidates
- Develop partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders
- Secure federal grants and private funding for quantum research initiatives
- Translate theoretical quantum models into practical commercial solutions
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of hands-on quantum algorithm development experience
- Published research in quantum computing or related fields
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq, Quipper)
- Strong background in linear algebra, quantum mechanics, and computational theory
- Experience leading technical teams and managing research budgets
- Proven ability to secure research grants and funding
