Responsibilities
- Design and implement quantum algorithms for optimization and simulation problems
- Lead a cross-disciplinary team of physicists and engineers in quantum hardware prototyping
- Develop error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Establish strategic partnerships with quantum hardware manufacturers and research institutions
- Secure $5M+ in research grants and publish in top-tier journals
- Create roadmap for quantum advantage implementation in finance and healthcare sectors
- Mentor junior researchers and foster a culture of quantum innovation
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science
- 5+ years of experience in quantum algorithm development or quantum hardware research
- Published research in Nature/Science or equivalent peer-reviewed journals
- Proficiency in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and simulation frameworks
- Experience securing government or corporate research funding
- Deep understanding of quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Track record of translating theoretical concepts into practical prototypes
