Responsibilities
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing quantum algorithms for 2026-era applications
- Design and implement error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Collaborate with hardware engineers to optimize quantum processor architectures
- Secure $5M+ in research grants from DARPA, NSF, and industry partners
- Publish groundbreaking research in Nature/Science journals
- Develop quantum cybersecurity frameworks for post-quantum encryption standards
- Mentor postdoctoral researchers and PhD candidates in quantum computing
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Computing, Physics, or Computer Science from Tier 1 institution
- 8+ years of quantum research experience with published papers in top-tier journals
- Expertise in quantum error correction and fault-tolerant architectures
- Proven track record of securing federal research grants
- Proficiency in Qiskit, Cirq, or equivalent quantum programming frameworks
- Experience leading teams of 5+ researchers in high-stakes environments
