Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm research for real-world applications in logistics, drug discovery, and financial modeling
- Lead a team of 5-7 researchers in developing error-correction protocols for fault-tolerant quantum systems
- Partner with hardware teams to optimize quantum processor performance for 2026-scale computational tasks
- Secure $2M+ in annual R&D funding through NSF grants and industry partnerships
- Publish breakthrough research in Nature/Science journals and present at IEEE Quantum Week
- Develop quantum cybersecurity frameworks to protect next-gen digital infrastructure
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field with 5+ years industry experience
- Proven track record publishing in top-tier quantum computing journals
- Expertise in quantum programming languages (Qiskit, Cirq) and quantum error mitigation
- Experience leading cross-functional R&D teams in high-stakes environments
- Deep understanding of quantum annealing, superconducting qubits, and topological quantum computing
- Strong background in machine learning integration with quantum systems
- Ability to translate complex quantum concepts for C-suite stakeholders
