Responsibilities
- Design and execute quantum algorithm research targeting 2026 commercial applications
- Lead cross-functional teams in developing error-corrected quantum systems
- Collaborate with academic institutions on quantum supremacy breakthroughs
- Translate theoretical models into scalable quantum hardware architectures
- Secure $5M+ in research funding through NSF and DARPA proposals
- Present findings at IEEE Quantum Week and Nature Physics symposiums
- Develop quantum-resistant cybersecurity protocols for enterprise clients
Qualifications
- PhD in Quantum Physics, Computer Science, or related field
- 5+ years of quantum computing research at top-tier institutions
- Published work in Nature/Science or equivalent high-impact journals
- Expertise in Qiskit, Cirq, or other quantum programming frameworks
- Track record of translating quantum theory to practical implementations
- Strong background in quantum error correction and fault tolerance
- Experience securing government research grants
- Proficiency in Python, C++, and low-level quantum hardware control
